YCCA Keeps On Blowin'

The Rome Family YMCA's YMCA Center for the Creative Arts was a program modeled after the New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts, which sits in the twice flooded 9th Ward of the embattled city.  NOCCA assisted the Rome YMCA with direction, instruction, curriculum and administration to help get the school started at the YMCA in October, 2003.  In 2006, the YCCA will provide a year-long calendar of educational and performance programs at a variety of locations throughout Central New York.  By utilizing the curriculum "Jazz For Young People" created by Wynton Marsalis, the YCCA will offer programs to teach young people the history of jazz.  Register today by calling Mitchell Player, principal, at the YMCA 315-336-3500.
